Lexington, Missouri Restaurants
Perched on the bluffs near the Missouri River, Lexington is a city of many facets. Once known as the "Athens of the West" for its schools and colleges, the city was also the headquarters of Quantrill's Raiders during the Civil War. Jesse James once robbed a bank here; and while St. Joseph may be the town many people associate with the Pony Express, the service actually got its start right here. History buffs may be in their element in Lexington, but outdoor enthusiasts can have fun, too, by hiking a stretch of the American Discovery Trail. Truly there is always something new to experience in Lexington.

Victorian Peddler

For a touch of quiet elegance, visitors may want to try the Victorian Peddler. The original tin ceiling dating from the 1880s, wood floor, and antiques on display all serve to create a quaint and old-fashioned atmosphere. The restaurant is famous for its homemade quiche and desserts.

This Lexington pizza place prides itself on its homemade taste. The dough, pizza sauce, and even some of the other sauces and salad dressings are all made from scratch. Papa Jack's specialty pizzas include Taco, Cheeseburger, Hot Wing, and Chicken Alfredo. The restaurant also features sandwiches, salads, pasta, and daily specials.

Mulligan's Pub & Grub

Located in one of Lexington's historic buildings, Mulligan's bills itself as "The Littlest Pub in Missouri." The establishment stretches the traditional pub definition, though, by giving patrons the option of dining on an attractive, fenced-in patio. Menu items include Tequila Lime Chicken Wings, burgers, paninis, and pizzas.
