Situated at more than 5,000 feet, the tiny, 350-person town of Glendale, Utah, is located in southern Utah's Kane County, home to some of the country's most famous national parks such as Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, the north rim of the Grand Canyon and the Glen Canyon/Lake Powell National Recreation Area. In addition, Glendale is a short drive from a half-dozen state parks, hiking, mountain climbing, golfing, caving and sightseeing opportunities. The Glendale area makes a great base from which to explore southern Utah's most important attractions and sites.

Zion Ponderosa Ranch and Resort

A sprawling, 4,000-acre resort, the Zion Ponderosa Ranch and resort is the most upscale lodging option in the Glendale area, is located about 12 miles from town and borders the eastern edge of Zion National Park. Grand Staircase National Park and Pipe Spring National Monument are located within a 40-minute drive. Most other major attractions are just an hour's drive away. Other outdoor activities include hiking, mountain biking, tennis, horseback riding and rappelling. Resort amenities include a spa, gift shop, swimming pool, four restaurants, a recreation barn and meeting rooms.
