Delhi Palace Cuisine of India
The Delhi Palace Cuisine of India restaurant is near the Mobile airport, the Bel Air Mall Shopping Center and the Mobile Festival Center. It is a fixture in the town, as it is the only Indian restaurant in the area. Diners should beware, however, as they may get confused when looking up the restaurant as it is listed as both Delhi Palace and Cuisine of India.
Menu
The Delhi Palace Cuisine of India serves an array of South Asian dishes and has something for everyone. Vegetarians can enjoy the restaurant's vegetable curries, fresh fruits, lentil soup and rice, potato samosas, onion pakoras and baingan bertha, which is an eggplant curry dish. For meat eaters, there are more than five types of chicken, like tandoori chicken and chicken tikka, and several types of lamb like lamb biryani, lamb kebab and spicy lamb curry. Seafood lovers will want to try the fish kofta and the fish vindaloo. The Dehli Palace Cusine of India also serves classic India drinks like mango lassi and Indian masala chai tea. For dessert, diners should try the authentic Indian sweets like Kulfi, which is Indian ice cream, and Kheer, which is rice pudding.
Hours
Diners should know ahead of time that during lunch hours there is only a modest buffet, and the menu is only available for dinner. The prices here, however, are relatively inexpensive, as most main courses are under $15 during dinner. During lunch hours, the buffet, which is all you can eat, is about $10 per person, as of 2009. While there is no kids menu, there is a discount for all children under the age of 12. For older diners, there is a selection of beers and wine, which includes imported Indian beer and designer wine bottles.
