Italian Restaurants in Midtown, New York City

Italian Restaurants in Midtown, New York City
There are, of course, a multitude of attractions and activities in midtown New York City, also known as Manhattan. You can catch a Broadway show in the theater district, right by Times Square, where there are millions of bright lights and numerous shops and restaurants. Beware: There are also crowds. If you're not intimidated by crowds, then you may want to also visit the nearby Empire State Building and Macy's Herald Square. For more high-end retail, walk east on 57th Street and have your choice from any number of shops. After a fun but tiring day of sightseeing, rest your feet and have a lovely Italian meal.

Patsy's

Patsy's is conveniently near Manhattan's theater district and features a pre-theater menu. It is a family-owned Neopolitan restaurant that has been in business since 1944. In addition to the pre-theater special, Patsy's serves lunch and dinner, including a prix-fixe luncheon menu. The hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday from noon-12 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 12-11 p.m. Some of the house specialties are lobster fra diavolo, veal chops Siciliano and chicken Contadina. An extensive wine list is also available. During Christmas week, Patsy's serves The Feast of the Seven Fishes, which does require a reservation.
