Hotels on Hutchinson Island, Florida

Hutchinson Island, a barrier island on the coast of Florida is located in St. Lucie county and offers miles of pristine beaches. Aside from time spent of the beach, the area around Hutchinson Island offers great opportunities for outdoorsmen. The Saint Lucie River provides fishing opportunities with sheltered, fish-able waterways. Surf fishing access is excellent. Savannas Preserve State stretches 10 miles from Ft. Pierce to Jensen Beach and is the largest remnant of Florida's coastal savannas. Canoeing, kayaking and fishing in the wetlands are permissible and eight miles of multi-use trails for hiking, cycling and horseback riding are also available. A short drive north takes you to Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space center.

The Royal Inn Beach Hotel on South Hutchinson Island is located across from the beach. The hotel was recently renovated and is just a short walk to the Fort Pierce Inlet , as well as several restaurants and night-life spots. All rooms offer either ocean or sunset views and have private balconies. Amenities include refrigerators microwaves, satellite TV with five channels of HBO, free phone calls and free Wi Fi Iternet. A complimentary continental breakfast is available each morning. The hotel offers AAA and AARP discounts as well as seasonal rates and reduced rates for extended stays.

The Island Beach Resort

Island Beach Resort is an oceanfront property located on miles of unspoiled beaches. The apartment style residence offers condominiums equipped with a full kitchen, private phones, linens, hair dryers, iron and ironing boards. Upper floor units have private balconies with views of either the Atlantic Ocean or inland. The resort offers an oceanfront swimming pool and sun decks. There is a two day minimum stay required with holidays requiring extra rental days. The resort houses the High Tide Beach Grill offering lunch and dinner daily. No pets are allowed.

Dockside Inn & Resort

The Dockside Inn and Resort is located on the Fort Pierce Inlet of South Hutchinson Island. An anglers paradise, it's only 13 nautical miles to the gulf stream and some of the best sport fishing in the east. Most fishing enthusiasts will be happy fishing off the docks for snook, grouper, snapper and more. The resort offers two pools and a variety of accommodations from suites with private balconies to simple motel rooms. Most of the rooms come equipped with a microwave and a full size refrigerator. Coffee makers and hair dryers are available in every room and the hotel offers a complimentary continental breakfast daily.
