Surrounded by the Laguna Madre Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, South Padre Island is a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts. Activities include deep-sea or bay fishing, boating, snorkeling, dolphin spotting and sailing. South Padre Island KOA RV park is on the island and other parks within 15 minutes are Tarpon RV Park & Marina and Port Isabel Park Center.

South Padre Island KOA

This RV Park is right at the island. Cabins also are available for rent. Amenities include a maximum-length pull through of 80 feet, 50-amp service, pool, hot tub and free cable TV. South Padre Island KOA has its own boat launch and offers services to help you sign up for fishing trips. Other activities include cruises at sunset, parasailing, snorkeling and dolphin spotting.

Tarpon RV Park & Marina

Tarpon RV Park & Marina is an RV park and campground in Port Isabel, about 5 miles from South Padre. It has 40 RV lots, 20 boat slips, a boat marina and a fishing pier. Guided fishing trips and dolphin spotting expeditions are offered as well.

Port Isabel Park Center

Port Isabel Park Center is another option near South Padre. It offers over 200 full hook-ups, cable TV and organized activities from November to April to help get you acquainted with the local area. Activities include fishing, bird-watching and boating. Fishing is conveniently located on saltwater channels with docking facilities.
