Cozumel Fishing Trips

Cozumel Fishing Trips
Cozumel's rich sport fishing is because of the deep-water channel between the Yucatan Peninsula and Cozumel. The channel causes a narrow area of open water where fish concentrate. Blue marlin, white marlin and sailfish are plentiful March to July. Year-round, you can expect to find amberjack, barracuda, mackerel, mahi mahi, sailfish, tuna and wahoo. Puerto Abrigo, on the north side of the island, accommodates many tourists in the hotel zone. La Caleta, home to high-end hotels and marinas, is located on the south side.

Sergio's

According to Bob Rodriguez at Cozumel Concierge, Sergio Sandoval is the most knowledgeable fishing charter captain. Sandoval keeps the twin diesels on his 41 foot Hatteras tuned and as quiet as possible so as not to scare fish away.

Sandoval offers half-day and full-day fishing trips. Sandoval docks on the south side of the island. Complimentary refreshments and light lunch is provided. Staff will acquire your license for you before the trip. All knives, bait, hooks, poles, lines, floats, lures and knots are provided and the crew will clean your catch as part of the charter.
