Whether you are from the South and miss your favorite food or you are just craving spice, you can find what you are looking for.

Allyn's Cafe

Opened in 1991, Allyn's Cafe is owned and run by someone who started with 12 years at a major hotel in the area. He decided, with his wife, to open his own restaurant and has since become known for many key features that his restaurant is recognized for. It has been honored for best beer list, best cafe, best Mexican restaurant, best patio and best place to find local musicians. Technically called a Cajun- Mexican restaurant, according to allynscafe.net, they welcome children, and offer steaks, pork ribs, fresh seafood, and homemade desserts. Two Cajun specialties are the Catfish Platter (cajun breaded and deepfried catfish served with fries, the vegetable of the day and salad) and the Blackened Gator Dinner (sauteed blackened alligator served over white rice and creole sauce). They are open from 11:30am-10:00pm from Sunday through Thursday. Fridays and Saturdays 10:00pm is when the kitchen closes. The bar is open until 12:00am through the week and until 1:00am on weekends.
