Known for attracting a mix of German-American clientele and a young crowd, Laschet's Inn offers traditional German fare with friendly service that quite often offers free shots of after-dinner schnapps. Try the many traditional dishes like Bratwurst, Hackepeter, Frikadellen and Leberkase. Side dishes worth your attention include spaetzle and red cabbage. Dreamland Palace: Serving since 1875
An unofficial historical landmark, Dreamland Palace was founded as a tavern and dance hall in the late 19th century, followed by former lives as a hotel, post office and even as a private home. Recently renovated to restore its tavern roots, the three dining rooms in the Dreamland Palace is popular with tourists and locals alike. House specialities include the Hasenpfeffer (braised rabbit) and a variety of schnitzels including the Wienerschnitzel Ala Holstein (a veal cut). Check out the gift shop after your meal.
