Kosher Restaurants Near Norwalk, Connecticut

Kosher Restaurants Near Norwalk, Connecticut
Kosher food is a very important part of Jewish life. For food to be kosher, it must conform to the rules of kashrut, Jewish dietary laws. Things that can make food non-kosher can include the presence of ingredients derived from non-kosher animals, such as pigs, or from kosher animals that not slaughtered according to Jewish law. In addition, foods that contain a mixture of meat and milk are not kosher, nor are foods with wine or grape juice, or their derivatives, produced without the supervision of a rabbi. In addition, use of produce from Israel that has not been tithed or using cooking utensils which had previously been used for non-kosher food will make food non-kosher. While there are no kosher restaurants within the city of Norwalk, Conn., there are several options in nearby towns.
