Snoqualmie Pass Hotels
Snoqualmie Pass is one of Washington state's most heavily traveled highway crossings, cutting east-west over Interstate 90. At a low elevation of 3,022 feet, it is also one of four east-west mountain passes open year-round. There is only one hotel located on Snoqualmie Pass. A nearby vacation home is also available for rent for up to 16 guests.

General Information

Snoqualmie Pass, named after a Coast Salish tribe, is bordered by Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest and Wenatchee National Forest. It is home to the largest ski area in the state, The Summit at Snoqualmie, with four mountains of varying terrains. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, the locale also offers warm-season recreational activities such as rock climbing, biking, hiking, backpacking and fishing. Snoqualmie Pass is 52 miles from Seattle and 133 miles from Mount Rainier National Park. The English translation of Snoqualmie is "People of the Moon."

The Summit Inn at Snoqualmie Pass

The 80-room Summit Inn, a Howard Johnson hotel, features a year-round heated pool, indoor hot tub and sauna, on-site restaurant and lounge, and lobby fireplace and seating. Each room has a work area, telephone with free local calls, free wireless high-speed Internet access, free cable TV, complimentary in-room coffee, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, toiletries, and extra pillows and blankets. Suites include mini kitchens with microwaves. Most rooms offer views of the surrounding Cascade Mountains. Smoking rooms are available. The hotel offers free shuttle service to ski lifts at The Summit at Snoqualmie Ski Resort and summer tubing center. The inn is located approximately two miles from The Summit at Snoqualmie and 57 miles from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Small- to medium-sized dogs and cats are allowed with a nonrefundable fee.

Jernie Inn

Jernie Inn is a chalet-style rental vacation home with two adjacent suites located on the east side of Interstate 90. There are a total of five bedrooms that can accommodate 10 guests. Up to six additional people can sleep on foldout sofas in the two living rooms. Amenities include fully equipped kitchens, hot tub, washer/dryer, cable TVs and ski, boot and bicycle storage. Free off-street parking is available.

Within a mile of Jernie Inn are two restaurants; a short drive away are several more restaurants, a grocery store and gas station. The Snoqualmie Pass ski slopes are located one and half miles to the west. Downtown Seattle is 52 miles to the west along I-90. Jernie Inn is smoke-free, fully furnished and available year-round.
