Eastside Grill
Located in downtown Northampton, the Eastside Grill offers a diverse menu with a strong emphasis on Midwestern, grain-fed beef. While there are a few fish, chicken and even vegetarian options, the menu specializes in rib eye, sirloin and multiple variations on ways steak can be served, including on salads and in appetizers. In the summer months, outdoor seating is available. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m., Friday from 5 to 10:30 p.m., Saturday from 4 to 10:30 p.m. and Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m.

Grilled over wood fires, the steaks at Caminito Argentinean Steakhouse are cooked like those on the barbecue grills that Argentina is famous for; very hot coals sear in the juices on filet mignon, skirt steaks, short ribs and the occasional offering of salmon or chicken. A few vegetarian entrees are available, and the restaurant boasts a wonderful wine list, heavy on the Argentinean selections. Longhorn Steakhouse
Part of a national chain, the Longhorn Steakhouse in West Springfield offers large quantities for fairly modest prices, and although the menu is quite large, the emphasis is definitely on steak. Known for its filets and prime rib entrees, the Longhorn also offers rib eye, strip steak and even a "chop" burger. Hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturdays.
