Jeb's Restaurant

Located off the trails in downtown Lowville, this pleasant restaurant will take diners back in time. Its façade, previously the town's 1920s-era post office, sports high, original tin ceilings, Tiffany chandeliers and antiques lining its walls and shelves. It has four booths to accommodate parties of up to seven people as well as a section for those who prefer tables and chairs. The restaurant serves hearty meals daily, including selections of Mexican dishes, pasta, sumptuous seafood, burgers and sandwiches. The eatery invites patrons to customize their own steak dinners with their choice of cuts and side dishes. They also serve a lunch platter, which serves up to 14 people, and buffet dinner. Do not forget to sample Jeb's specialties, which include its signature baby back ribs, primavera pizza, hot antipasto poor boy and tuna cob. Jeb's also caters for on- and off-site parties. The Sports Club, which is attached to the restaurant, welcomes out-of-towners to catch the big game from a comfortable bar stool in front its big screen TV.

This diner, set in an old box car, serves no-frills meals. Though small in size, the eatery is a historical landmark for Lewis County. Its food embodies classic American simple dining that the friendly staff serves. The diner specializes in pies with fresh fruits and is known for its "Ketchapeño," a combination of ketchup with jalapeños. This is an ideal place to soak up the local color and eat before going off to explore the 1000 islands.
