Sylamore Ranger District (56), ATV Trail near Mountain Home
Sylamore Ranger District, 8,500 acres, has about 95 miles of ATV trails around the town of Fifty-Six. ATVs are allowed on the gravel county and forest service paved roads, unless it is marked otherwise. ATV trail heads are easily accessible from the campgrounds. Multi-use trails for hikers or mountain bikers, can also be used by ATVs unless marked otherwise.
While riding an ATV, you will see lots of trees, a mix of hardwoods and pines, picturesque bluffs, and overlooks. The nearby Gunner Pool Recreation Area offers a campground, while the Gunner Pool Lake is situated off the North Sylamore Creek, which is a clear mountain stream. The recreational area is teeming with whitetail deer, squirrels, black bears and wild turkeys. Enjoy a swim in Gunner Pool or in the North Sylamore Creek.

Craighead Forest Park, ATV Trail near Mountain Home
Craighead Forest Park, a 692-acre park, is situated in scenic Crowley's Ridge. It offers a 30+ mile, ATV trail and other outdoor opportunities, including hiking, camping, mountain biking and fishing. The ATV trail is located off Craighead Forest Road in Jonesboro, Arkansas and encompasses the area from the parking lot on Craighead Forest Road west to South Culberson. The well-maintained ATV trail is outside the Forest Park Loop.
ATV trail riders' family, friend, or even corporate groups, can enjoy a sheltered pavilion in the ATV trail area. ATV trail riders are asked to stay off the open field below the dam.

Moccasin Gap, ATV Trail
Moccasin Gap is located about 3.5 hours away from Mountain Home. Moccasin Gap includes some waterfalls, streams and lots of forested venues of pine and hardwoods. ATVs are allowed on portions of the Moccasin Gap ATV Trail. From Russellville, Arkansas, take Highway 7 for about 25 miles to the trail head, west side of Highway 7.
