Florida offers many Christmas events and attractions across the state. These are normally outdoor based because of the mild wintertime climate. During the harsh winters in the United States many people flock to the warm mild atmosphere of Florida. These tourists who winter in the state are often called 'snowbirds' by the locals. This massive influx of tourists over the holidays makes a wide assortment of outdoor Christmas attractions extremely popular for the holidays.

Silver Springs Nature Park Festival Of Lights

Silver Springs Nature Park is located in Ocala Florida. It is an attraction based park that surrounds an all natural underground spring that pumps 550 million gallons of water per day. Each Christmas Silver Springs has a Festival Of Lights and the park is adorned with over a million holiday lights. They also have a local choir, a lighted boat parade and Santa for the children. Admission to this event is $12.99 for adults, $8.99 for children aged 3 to 10. Children age 2 and under are free.

St. Augustine's Night Of Lights

St Augustine, Florida is the oldest city in the nation. For the past sixteen years they have lit the city with millions of white lights. The white lights reflect the Spanish tradition of burning a white candle during the holidays. This helps define the history of the 440 year old city. During the Night Of Lights workers dress up in period garb to show tourists around. There are train and trolley tours available. The city offers Florida ice skating and numerous concerts during the event. The Night of Lights will run through December to January 31.

Santa's Enchanted Forest

Santa's Enchanted Forest in Miami Florida is considered to be the worlds largest Christmas theme park. Each year there is a 92 foot lighted Christmas tree, over a hundred rides, attractions, a petting zoo and a visit with Santa. Admission for a season pass is $39.26 plus tax for anyone ten and over, for anyone under the age of ten admission is $28.97 plus tax. Admission for the day is $23.36 plus tax for anyone ten and over, $16.36 for anyone under the age of nine or who is a senior citizen.

Gaylord Palms ICE

Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee offers their annual ICE event. This is a walk through a carved ice attraction that is produced from over two million pounds of ice. Inside this indoor ice attraction everything is life size. They feature a life size nativity scene, The attraction is hand carved by forty artisans from Harbin, China. Adult advance tickets are from $18.99 to $23.99, child is $9.99, and a senior is $16.99 to $21.99. Tickets at the door range from $21.99 to $25.99 for an adult, $9.99 to $11.99 for children, and $17.99 to $22.99 for a senior.
