Nestled between the Catskill and Adirondack Mountains, Cooperstown, New York offers numerous family-friendly activities. One of the more popular attractions is the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Glimmerglass State Park

The outdoors adventure all happens at Glimmerglass State Park, around Ostego Lake. James Fenimore Cooper set his Leatherstocking tales here. Hike the uphill trail through partly wooded terrain and gentle hills 8 miles outside the Cooperstown. The trail offers views of the lake and Beaver Pond. Flora and fauna are found in abundance, and is especially good for wildflowers, mosses and ferns. The Hyde Hall Mansion is here and a quaint covered bridge. Winter offers plenty of outdoor sport with cross-country skiing, ice skating and fishing and snowshoeing.

Brewery Ommegang

Set in a farmhouse-style building on an old mountainside hops farm, the first attraction at this Belgian brewery is the setting itself. Attend a daily tour to watch the brewing process of fine Belgian-style beers produced at this Brewery, or attend one of many season events. Be on hand for the roll-out of seasonal beers when the time is right or stop by the gift shop, for fine cheeses and Belgian chocolate.

Fenimore Art Museum

American folk art and American indigenous art, decorative arts, photography, and 20th century art are featured at the Fenimore. Set among beautiful formal gardens on Ostego Lake, the museum is situated in a mansion of neo-Georgian architecture.

Adrenaline Zone Paintball

Safety-certified paintball on a terrain that includes woods, meadows and a great large fort for the taking. Semi-automatic paintball guns and top-of- the-line safety equipment including full head masks. The facility has four paintball fields, the Spool Field with Attack and Defend Fort, Airball Field, Small Woods Course, and Large Woods Course. The schedule includes open play days.
