Near the waterfront, Bamboo House serves lunch and dinner seven days a week and offers online ordering and both take-out and delivery. Daily lunch specials come with a side of fried rice, and vegetarian entrees are available. Fort Griswold State Park is just up the street, better known as the spot where in 1781 Benedict Arnold's troops slaughtered American soldiers after he switched teams.

With ample portions and conservative pricing, Peking Kitchen is a local favorite. They don't have a website, but you can phone in your order or walk in to dine. Offering fresh standard favorites, Peking Kitchen is also willing to accommodate special diets. It is open for lunch and dinner every day and accepts MasterCard and Visa only. Nearby is the historic Starr Burying Ground, the resting place of famed Inuit guide Tookoolito ("Hannah").
