Gourmet Restaurants in Pottstown, Pennsylvania

Gourmet Restaurants in Pottstown, Pennsylvania
Pottstown has all the appeal of a small town. Visitors can enjoy nature hikes through the surrounding landscape of rural Pennsylvania. However, just because Pottstown doesn't boast a bustling metropolitan life does not mean it lacks any of the culinary refinements. Several gourmet restaurants serve epicurean delights for the most discerning palates.

Henry's Cafe

This small restaurant is tastefully and modestly decorated, which lends an unobtrusive ambiance. Dark wood floors and furniture create an old-fashioned charm. Fresh fish is specialty of owner and chef Frank Raski. The Waluu, an uncommonly served fish, with roasted poblano cream sauce is a good choice for the adventurous. Henry's Café is open only during select times during the week for lunch: Thursday and Friday between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Dinner is available Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 4:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Cutillo's Restaurant

The structure that houses Cutillo's Restaurant has been part of the town since the 18th century. The Cutillos purchased this former inn in 1948 and began making a name for their establishment with fresh, homemade pastas and sauces. Today, Cutillo's offers those same pasta recipes in addition to a host of traditional, fine dining dishes in an updated interior. The portion of the building that currently houses the restaurant was added in 1975 and is complete with two glass walls that provide guests views of lush greenery as well as the Sanatoga Creek. Familiar, upscale options can be found here such as steak and seafood. The Crab Penne offers visitors a chance to taste both Cutillo's famous, homemade pasta without foregoing the seafood. Open for dinner every night but Monday, Cutillo's also provides lunch Tuesday through Friday.

Vittorio's Trattoria

Visitors should not judge Vittorio's Trattoria by the restaurant's exterior. This establishment is located in a shopping center but provides gourmet Italian food. Owned and operated by Vittorio Ottaviano and his daughter Angela Mamo, all the customary Italian fare can be found on the Trattoria's menu in addition to an extensive list of house specialties. Gourmet dishes such as Veal Involtini, veal wrapped up with spinach and blue cheese in a delicate white cream sauce, are also available, as well as home-cooked lasagna. The restaurant is closed on Mondays, open for dinner on Sundays and open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday.
