Located just south of Albany, New York, Catskill is a small town in upstate New York. The town is the traditional gateway to the greater Catskill region, according to the Catskill Chamber of Commerce. Because of Catskill's close proximity to such natural wonders as the Hudson River, the Berkshires, and the Catskill Mountains, opportunities to enjoy fishing, hiking, boating and skiing abound.

Bell's Café

Bell's Café serves lunch Wednesday through Friday and dinner Thursday through Saturday. The menu changes with the seasons and includes French, Italian, American and even Moroccan dishes. Wine is served by the glass and bottle. Current offerings include Homemade Ricotta Gnocchi, Turkish Style Savory Meat Pie and a "Blue Burger" topped with bleu cheese and a roasted garlic spread. Brunch is offered Saturdays starting at 11. The Brunch menu consists of several egg dishes, Challah French toast and pancakes, as well as lunch items such as hamburgers and Panini.

DABA

Located in nearby Hudson, but well worth the drive over the Rip Van Winkle Bridge, DABA serves dinner Monday through Saturday. The contemporary American restaurant is a warmly decorated treasure tucked into the Catskill Region. Setting the scene for the culinary treats to come, an amuse bouche is served prior to the first course. The menu includes items such as grilled Filet Mignon in blueberry vodka sauce; lamb rack served with white wine cherry sauce and sauteed fruit; Swedish meatballs; and risotto Disaronno. DABA also serves simpler menu items such as burgers and a BLT. Desserts include seasonal fruit crumb pie served with vanilla ice cream made in-house; caramel mousse; white chocolate cheesecake served with a mixed berry sauce; and a chocolate crème brulee.

Wunderbar and Bistro

The Wunderbar and Bistro serves comfort food in a rustic setting nestled among several antiques shops on Warren Street in downtown Hudson. The Bistro is open for lunch and dinner weekdays, and dinner on Saturday. Menu items include steak, pot roast and pork Wiener schnitzel. Daily lunch specials include meatloaf, linguine, and fish and chips. A full-service bar and several down-home desserts complete the menu.
