Palace of Japan

A locals' favorite since 1994, Palace of Japan serves up delicious sushi and sashimi alongside a full Japanese menu of teriyakis and rice bowls. The sushi chefs at Palace of Japan shop the fish market daily to hand-pick all of the restaurant's seafood. Grab a seat at the sushi bar and try a Spicy Girl Roll, a combination of salmon, yellow tail, crab, avocado and tobiko for crunch all rolled up with a pink soy seaweed and topped with a spicy mayo. Pair that with a tall Kirin beer and a carafe of hot sake, and you're golden. This Riverdale restaurant is open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays and Sunday from 12:30 to 4 p.m. For dinner, the restaurant reopens at 5 and serves until 10:30 (11 on Friday and Saturday nights).
