Gatlinburg, TN is the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It's known for its family-friendly activities as well as its beautiful mountain views and outdoor recreation options. Gatlin offers numerous hiking trails, skiing, whitewater rafting, shopping, museums and live entertainment. If you prefer stay in a mountain cabin, there are many possibilities. However, if you want to bring your pet and need wireless Internet, there are not as many options.

Starry Nights Lodge

The Starry Nights Lodge is a large cabin with 5 bedrooms and 5 ½ bathrooms that sleeps up to 16 people comfortably in the 3 king-sized beds, 2 queen-sized beds, 1 queen sofa-bed, and 2 queen futons. Wireless high-speed Internet access is available. Pets under 25 pounds are allowed for a $75 fee, but puppies are not included, and all pets must be approved in writing before you arrive. This cabin offers a panorama view of the Smoky Mountains, designer furnishings, two hot tubs, a pool table, an air hockey table, a charcoal BBQ, full kitchen, washer and dryer, 7 TVs and DVD players. It's located approximately 10 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. In 2009, rates ranged from $345 to $540 per night depending on the season with a 3 night minimum, except during the off-season.

Trails End

The Trails End cabin is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin that sleeps 8 in 2 king- sized beds and 2 queen sofa beds. Rates are $180 to $240 per night as of 2009. This cabin offers a mountain view and is located less than 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. Wireless high-speed Internet is available. Pets under 25 pounds are allowed but you must have approval before arrival. The cabin has a full kitchen, 4 cable TVs with DVD players and VCRS, washer and dryer, hot tub, charcoal grill and access to a swimming pool.

Whispering Creek

The Whispering Creek cabin is a cozy 1 bedroom, 1 bath cabin that sleeps 4 in a king-sized bed and 2 twin sofa beds. Rates range from $120 to $160 per night depending on the season. Whispering Creek offers a view of a beautiful mountain stream. Amenities include a pool table, private hot tub, gazebo, a front porch with rocking chairs, a 52 inch TV with cable, DVD player and VCR, plus another smaller TV. There is a full kitchen and washer and dryer. This cabin is located 10 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg.
