Hammel House Inn
Hammel House has been serving the traveling public since 1799, with its current building in use since 1817. Its rich history includes visits by both President Martin Van Buren and Vice President Richard Johnson, and it remains a well known entity for its small town charm and hospitality. Also the home of one of Waynesville's most famous restaurants, the Hammel House offers lunch and dinner and, weather permitting, outside dining on its spacious front porch. With only five guest rooms, the hotel fills quickly but provides a true historic Waynesville experience.
