Poipu Tropical Burger

Poipu Tropical Burger is a family-friendly establishment serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner at an affordable price. Try some Island Banana Pancakes to start the day or choose any one of the restaurant's creative tropical burgers. The Rum Guava burger is a local favorite. This Poipu Beach restaurant is open Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Poipu Tropical Burger is located in the Poipu Shopping Village.

Puka Dog Hawaiian Hot Dogs

Next door to Poipu Burger is Puka Hawaiian Hot Dogs, a Poipu Beach tradition. Recently visited by the Travel Channel's "No Reservations" show, Puka Dog serves up Hawaiian-style hot dogs. These dogs are dropped straight into a loaf of bun with a hole carved perfectly in the center to hold the dog. Using native fruits to whip up fresh relishes and sauces to add extra flare, Puka Dog is a must-try after the beach. Puka Dog is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Poipu Shopping Village.

Brennecke's Beach Broiler

If you have sandy feet, it is not a problem at Brennecke's Beach Broiler, a casual beach front eatery on Poipu Beach. A longtime favorite of locals and island hoppers, Brennecke's serves up delicious lunch and dinner every day of the week. The lunch menu features tasty treats like the King Crab Melt and fresh Hawaiian ahi tuna. For dinner, try the sesame-crusted opah, another local delicacy. Prime ribs, steaks, seafood and a fresh salad bar makes sure everyone at the table is happy. Do not forget to ask about the catch of the day. Brennecke's is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Koloa Fish Market

The Koloa Fish Market offers fresh, locally caught fish, sashimi and house specials like smoked marlin and seared ahi tuna. Hawaiian and American plate lunches are also prepared. This Poipu Beach market/eatery is take-out only, so grab a plate and find the perfect picnic spot. The lines can get long at peak times, but it is worth the wait. The Koloa Fish Market is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m to 6 p.m; Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; closed on Sundays.
