Edmonton, Alberta is a nature enthusiast's nirvana. The city features more than 400 parks within a 30-minute drive of downtown and the famed "Ribbon of Green" series of parks that line the North Saskatchewan River as it passes through the heart of the city. This system provides more 165 kilometers of cycling trails, parks, conservation areas and sports facilities. In the winter months, enjoy cross-country skiing, tobogganing and skating.

Asian Village Restaurant is located across the street from Queen Elizabeth Park and the Kinsmen Sports Centre. It has been named one of the top five ethnic restaurants in Canada by Hotel Restaurant Magazine.

Asian Village offers a diverse menu, featuring food from several Indian regions. Enjoy the restaurant's famed buffet or order from the menu. Try the chef's specialty, Paneer Butter Masala, made with authentic homemade cheese cooked in a fragrant thick butter sauce.

Karma: the Indian Bistro

Located close to the River Valley Outdoor Centre and Victoria Golf Course, Karma offers traditional Indian dishes with a contemporary flair.

The extensive menu offers much more than the usual choices, including vegetarian, beef, seafood and chicken dishes. Try the Chef's specialty, Hariyall Chicken, boneless chicken served in a rich spinach and herb saute with garlic and green chilies.

Masala Wok

Masala Wok dishes up a fusion of Asian cuisine that incorporates Indian spices and flavors. Its food is prepared using only a minimum of salts and oils, making it a healthy alternative to other Indian restaurants in the area.

Its budget-minded menu includes items such as Chili Chicken Masala, Szechuan Paneer and other uncommon combinations. Masala Wok is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
