Estela's Mexican Restaurant

If delicious but inexpensive Mexican food, and lots of it, is what you crave, then Estela's will more than satisfy. Estela's serves up a hearty dose of family atmosphere alongside its nachos, burritos and house specials such as a super-spicy Shrimp a la Diablo. On Friday nights, a Mariachi band dressed in full traditional black charro costume plays, wending its way around the tables to entertain the customers as they dine. Although it serves primarily meat and seafood dishes, Estela's also provides vegetarian choices, including a Burrito Vegetariana or Fajitas Vegetarianas. For dessert, consider trying the Choco Taco, made of bananas and cream wrapped in a deep-fried flour tortilla, covered with chocolate and served with vanilla ice cream.

220 East Restaurant

220 East has been part of the Davis Islands scene for over 10 years and has garnered an excellent reputation as a friendly and inviting place to enjoy fresh, delicious food prepared from quality ingredients. For lunch, consider a sandwich such as the crab cake sandwich, or the tuna sandwich cooked--or not cooked--to your specifications. Other entrees include Chicken Piccata, Pork Margarita and Bourbon Steaks. If pasta is what you crave, try instead the Chicken Bowtie with Tomato Basil Cream, Blackened Chicken Alfredo, or simply create your own pasta dish. Successful anglers and sports fishermen (and women) can even bring in their catch for the restaurant to prepare and serve at your table. Be sure to leave room for one of the from-scratch desserts, such as Key Lime Pie.
