Homewood Suites is located on San Antonio's Riverwalk, where there are a wide range of dining, shopping and entertainment options every day within walking distance of the hotel. It is a 10-minute walk from the Alamo Plaza or the Convention Center. The kitchen-equipped suites are available in one- and two-bedroom sizes and feature separate living areas and bedrooms. The kitchens include full refrigerators, two-burner stoves, microwave ovens and dishwashers. Other amenities include complimentary breakfast every day and Internet service. The Internet service is not wireless; the hotel can provide Ethernet cables upon request. There is a rooftop swimming pool and whirlpool and fitness center available to guests, but do not bring your pet; the Homewood Suites is not a pet-friendly hotel. Parking is challenging in downtown San Antonio, but the hotel offers valet parking for an additional fee.

Located downtown and less than a mile from the Alamo Dome and the Riverwalk, the Staybridge Suites is a pet-friendly hotel that offers suites with full-service kitchens that include a full refrigerator and dishwasher. Amenities are what you would expect at this caliber of hotel, including complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and free parking. There is also a swimming pool and fitness center available. The suites also include a workspace with enough room to spread out a laptop computer and some paperwork. It is equipped with a desk lamp. The location and accommodations that the Staybridge Suites provide to its customers make it one of the popular hotels in San Antonio for extended-stay visitors such as contractors and military personnel, and may make a great base camp for a San Antonio adventure.

Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham

The Hawthorn Suites is away from the downtown crowds and closer to the airport. It specializes in extended-stay patrons and offers full kitchen suites and one-bedroom suites. Other amenities include a daily newspaper, complementary breakfast, free parking, and WiFi throughout the hotel. The Hawthorn Suites does not allow pets. There are laundry facilities on the property, a swimming pool and a fitness room. Even though it is off the beaten path, it is still within reach of San Antonio's attractions. The Riverwalk and Alamo Plaza are a five-minute drive away; Seaworld and Six Flags are 20 minutes. Less than four miles to the northeast is the San Antonio Botanical Gardens trail, a one-mile easy hiking opportunity through some very interesting local flora.
