Cajun Restaurants in Arlington, Texas

Cajun Restaurants in Arlington, Texas
If you find yourself in Arlington, Texas, and looking for outdoors activities with which to occupy yourself, rest easy -- they've got a few. For something different, try a storm chasing tour with the folks at Tempest Tours. Hiking and biking trails are available at the 1,300 acre River Legacy Park, or hit Hurricane Harbor for water sports amusement. And when you hunger for something on the spicy side of the food spectrum, here are three Cajun restaurants in Arlington, Texas, to choose from.

Boudreaux's Cajun Kitchen

Boudreaux's focus on serving simple but great-tasting Cajun dishes began in Houston, Texas in the 1990's. They've since added 7 more restaurants, including the one in Arlington. Boudreaux's honors Cajun food in Arlington with choices like catfish, gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, alligator, and oysters but the menu strays (in a good way) to other territories as well. California gets its due with the seafood taco platter, and coconut shrimp gives a nod to the tropics. Prices are reasonable, running a bit lower than nationwide seafood chains. Nearby Tempest Tours is a great way to fill your time before dinner. This storm chaser outfit takes you along on a natural and educational experience of the area.

Pat's Cajun Seafood

For Arlington Cajun dining, this restaurant knows a thing or two about moderate prices. The menu is not massive but all the usual suspects are accounted for. Grilled platters offer various combinations and quantities of catfish, oysters, and shrimp. The gilled/blackened menu is small, offering your choice of shrimp, catfish, or chicken. Jambalaya and etouffee come with crawfish, shrimp, or a seafood mix. Gumbo has shrimp, seafood, or sausage. Po' Boy sandwiches and boiled shrimp or crawfish round out the menu. A nearby attraction for active tourists is River Legacy Park, where you can hike, bike, and watch wildlife at this urban park on the banks of the Trinity River.

Bayou Cat

The reviews at We8There gave Bayou Cat a stellar five out of five stars for food quality. Can't get much better than that. The fried catfish is a standout selection on the menu. Some people don't ask for anything else from their Cajun restaurant but this one offers other standards like red beans and rice, gumbo, oysters, frog legs, and shrimp. This family friendly atmosphere is an option to chow down at after a day at nearby Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. As far as outdoors water park fun goes, this one ranks right up there. Whether for the family or just a couple, you should be able to get splashed and thrilled to your heart's content.
