Hotel Agli Alboretti

This is a family-run, 23-room hotel in the elegant Sestiere residential neighborhood of Dorsoduro. The hotel's name, Agli Alboretti, refers to the small trees that were planted in the 19th century when the canal outside of the hotel was filled in to make a street. It is rare to see trees in Venice, so the residents refer to this area as the "Street of the Small Trees." Some staff members have degrees in Venice's cultural history and enjoy discussing Venice's history with guests and planning itineraries for exploring outside of mainland Venice to the outer islands. Perfect for families, the hotel has a few rooftop family suites with outside terraces. It also accepts guests with well-behaved pets.
