Chowder House
Chowder House offers not only homemade chowders and soups, but also assorted meats, pasta, vegetables and daily sandwiches. The specialty of the house is the fresh haddock and salmon specials as well as the "Utica best shrimp platter." The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. from Tuesday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. from Friday to Saturday. The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday. It is encouraged to call for reservations for Friday or Saturday nights as the place is often packed then. One special feature of the restaurant is its fish tanks with live sharks where kids can feed them. Chowder House also offers catering services seven days a week.
