Thompson is a town in the northern region of Connecticut bordering Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The city has a unique history centering on its downtown commons area. Militias' trained there from the days of the French and Indian War all the way until the state legislature disbanded them in the 1800s. It is also the home to the Quaddick State Park and the Old Sturbridge Village. Thompson has several restaurants as well.

Raceway Restaurant

This restaurant is on a golf course. It serves the patrons of the golf course and the general public and provides a full service bar containing alcoholic beverages from beers and wines to specialty mixed drinks. The menu includes burgers, chicken, deli sandwiches and Friday night seafood frenzy. The restaurant runs various specials throughout the week.

Four Corners Restaurant & Pub

This establishment serves standard American bar cuisine. Hamburgers, steaks, fried fish, BBQ and a variety of salads are the typical fare, but it also has seafood menu items that have gained in local popularity and specials throughout the week. The ambiance is casual and sporty. The restaurant also offers a variety of bottled and draft beers both imported and domestic.

Standard pizzeria fare is served here in addition to calzones, burgers, pasta, salads, deli selections and seafood items. JC's delivers throughout the area and include jet-ski deliveries to boats on Webster Lake. It offers various specials to college students and publishes weekly flyers with coupons.
