Whether you're camping at the Haas Lake Park RV Campground, enjoying winter sports, golfing, boating or enjoying the beaches, nature trails and waterfalls, New Hudson has something for everyone who loves the outdoors. Catch northern pike, bluegill, crappie, walleye, large-mouth bass and small-mouth bass on Kent Lake, or drive 10 miles to ski and snowboard at the Mount Brighton Ski Area‎. Enjoy a round of golf at the Coyote Golf Club before enjoying lunch at any of the area's assorted eateries.

Leo's Coney Island

While Leo's is famous for its Greek salad, the extensive breakfast menu can't be beat. The three-egg corned beef and Swiss cheese omelet is the most expensive breakfast item at $6.95 (as of November 2009), and it comes with hash browns and toast. The salad and kids menus are almost as broad, and Leo's offers munchies galore. There's a fabulous Greek menu, burgers, sandwiches and a favorites menu that includes vegetable stir-fry. You can wear your jeans and bring the kids. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m.

La Casa del Rio Grande

Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, the Rio Grande serves what its website touts as "the freshest and most authentic Mexican food possible." Weekday lunch specials from $5 to $8 are served from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. and include fajitas, enchiladas, burritos and more, served with beans and rice. Choose between a taco salad, chicken avocado salad and seafood salad for a healthy meal, or select an imaginative dish from the dinner menu that ranges in price from $6 to $13. Several American dishes are available and the children's menu offers several Mexican and American choices. It is just four miles from the Haas Lake Park RV Campground and five miles from the Heavner Cross Country Ski Center‎. Call for closing times.

Jet's Pizza

Serving pizzas, subs, boats (think calzones) and scrumptious salads, this franchise is famous for its variety of pizza crusts, including butter, poppy seed, Parmesan, garlic, sesame seed, Cajun, Romano and Jet's Turbo Crust (butter, garlic and Romano cheese). The overstuffed subs and boats will fill the hungriest outdoorsman, and the cost is about what you expect to pay at any pizza parlor. Call for days and hours.

Known nationwide for its American cuisine, burgers and Southwest fare, Chili's variety of offerings and well-seasoned dishes makes it a satisfying place to eat.
