Pet Friendly Motels & Hotels in Boothbay Harbor, Maine
Boothbay Harbor is a popular summer destination for many people interested in going on a whale watch, yachting or just getting away for the weekend to relax near the ocean. There are many different local sites worth visiting, including the Boothbay Opera House, the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden and many nearby islands. If you plan on bringing your pet, not all of the area hotels are animal friendly, but there are options for you and your four-legged friend.

Flagship Inn

The Flagship Inn is located just one mile away from the Atlantic Ocean. The 82-guest room inn offers cable television, free Internet access, and free parking. The hotel also has a heated outdoor pool and spa for use during the late spring and summer months. Pets are welcome for an additional $10-per-day charge and, as of November 2009, rooms start at $84. Pets cannot be left unattended in the room for longer than 4 hours at a time. The hotel also offer a list of kennels, day cares and veterinarians, should you need them.

Spruce Point Inn, Resort and Spa

The Spruce Point Inn, Resort and Spa is an excellent way to spend your vacation. All of its rooms offer a private deck, cable television and wireless Internet. The inn also has two on-site dining options: 88 Grandview and Bogie's Hideaway. The 88 Grandview is a steak house that is only open in July and August. It overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and specializes in organic steaks and local seafood. Bogie's Hideaway is a casual, pub-style bistro and bar that offers nightly entertainment. There are also many other amenities, including on-site Har-Tru clay tennis courts, fitness rooms, shuffleboard, playgrounds, hiking trails and kayaks for rent.

Pets are allowed at the inn for no additional charge, but they are expected to be taken care of by the owner. The Inn is able to suggest local day cares and kennels should they be needed.

Beach Cove Hotel and Resort

The Beach Cove Hotel and Resort is located on more than three acres of waterfront property. The hotel, remodeled in 2008, offers cable television, a heated swimming pool, free continental breakfast and free canoe and rowboat rentals.

Not all of the rooms are pet-friendly, so it is best to call ahead to book your rooms. The pets cannot be left unattended for an extended period of time. Pet-sitting services are also available with advance notice. As of November 2009, room rates begin at $69 and can range up to $200. The pet fee is an additional payment of $20 for your entire stay.
