The Smoky Mountains offer rich history, fantastic views and beautiful scenery. A bus tour through the Smoky Mountain area provides visitors with a variety of activities and attractions. Guests can explore the Great Smoky Mountains State Park, take a step back in time at one of the area's oldest settlements, or learn about Appalachian culture.

Mountain Memory Tours

Mountain Memory Tours takes guests on a motor coach adventure through eastern Tennessee's Smoky Mountains. This tour company currently offers three tour options for travelers to choose from. The Smoky Backroads Tour lasts for three hours and focuses on Appalachian culture, customs, art and history. This tour also highlights Dolly Parton's life and childhood in the Smoky Mountains. The To The Mountain Tops tour lasts three hours and focuses on natural sights as well as the area's State Park. For travelers who want to experience aspects of both three hour tours, the 4 1/2 hour Back Road/Mountain Top Combo Tour brings together highlights and elements of both tours. As of November 2009, both three-hour tours are $35 per person and the 4 1/2 hour tour is $50 per person. Holiday tours are also available during the winter season. Group custom tours are available upon request.

Rocky Top Tours

Rocky Top Tours offers a variety of scheduled tours, as well as customized group tours, through the Smoky Mountains. The Smoky Mountain Special Tour is three hours in duration. During this tour, guests will head for the mountain tops to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. As of November 2009, adult admission is $27.00, children nine to15 pay $12.00 and children eight and under experience the Smoky Mountains for free. The Discover Cades Cove tour lasts for five hours. This tour focuses on the history of the region. Travelers can step back in time at the preserved Cades Cove Settlement, established in 1818. Admission is $30.00 for adults, $15.00 for guests nine to 15 and free to children eight years and under.

Country Music Travel

Travelers who are interested in a longer tour, taking in a variety of attractions, will enjoy the Great Smokies, Nashville and Kentucky tour. This tour lasts for eight days and seven nights. In addition to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, travelers will enjoy stops in Pigeon Forge, Nashville, Abraham Lincoln's birthplace, Churchill Downs and Dollywood Entertainment Park. Tour prices vary depending on the season and include show seating, hotel accommodations for the seven tour nights, six breakfasts, four dinners, tour guides and motor coach transportation.
