Hotels in Showlow, Arizona
Show Low, Arizona is often referred to as the gateway to the White Mountains, a vast outdoor recreational playground atop the Mogollon Rim in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest that is home to the largest Ponderosa pine forest in the world. Rather than sun-baked expanses of cactus and jagged rock faces, the White Mountain region is one of lakes, streams and pine and aspen forests. Because Show Low sits at 6,400 feet above sea level, it's summers are mild. Winters here are cold, with regular snow storms throughout January, February and March. Show Low acts as the western White Mountain region's main commercial hub. Show Low contains major grocery stores, auto repair facilities, a hospital and outdoor suppliers. Sunrise Ski Park, Arizona's largest ski and snowboarding facility, is less than 40 miles away.
