Ragin Cajun

Ragin Cajun is a chain of restaurants located around Houston that offers a loud, party-like atmosphere, as well as plenty of Cajun dishes. Gumbo, crawfish, and Po-Boys are all available on the menu. Their etoufees, offered with shrimp or crawfish, are considered a house specialty and are served with lots of flavor and rice. There is live Zydeco music on Thursdays, and if you need to bring your wireless device into dinner, you can hop onto the free Wi-Fi.

Boudreaux's Cajun Kitchen

Boudreaux's is a slightly larger chain than Ragin Cajun, offering five locations around the Houston area. They offer al ot of different specials and discounts for customers, including a 25% off Senior Discount from Monday through Friday as well as Tuesdays being Kids Eat Free day. They offer both in restaurant dining as well as catering services, and one of their locations has a party room available for special events. Much of their menu is fried, including mozzarella cheese, calamari, and pickles. They also offer alot of traditional Cajun dishes such as jambalaya, bisque, and gumbo. And while their fried catfish may not be anything new to frequent eaters of Cajun food, their offering of fried alligator might be a new culinary experience for you.

Mardi Gras Grill

Thismay not be a large chain of restaurants, but the Mardi Gras Grill makes up for its lack of size with its menu and its events. They have live music on Fridays and Saturdays, as well as cheap pints and pitchers of beers during their Draft Party hours on Sunday and Monday. You can also get deals on buffalo shrimp and buffalo fried oysters during Texan and Cowboys football game days. Their dishes are slightly more expensive than some of the other Cajun restaurants in town, and include red beans and rice, Po-Boys, gumbo, steaks, and jambalaya. They also offer a special treat for those looking for something a little different during the holiday easons - Cajun Fried Turkeys!

Bayou City Seafood and Pasta

This restaurant combines authentic Cajun cuisine with different types of pastas to come up with a pretty unique menu. They have gumbo, fresh fish, shellfish, and even frogs' legs. Their pasta specialties include items such as the Pasta Apache, a mix of chicken, crabmeat, and shrimp all sauteed with mushrooms, tomatos and jalapenos over angel hair pasta. Happy Hour happens every day, along with lunch specials and daily specials.
