Austin, Texas Hotels Near Sixth Street
Sixth Street between Congress Avenue and Interstate 35 is known as the entertainment center of Austin, Texas. Restaurants, pubs, antique stores, art galleries, music venues, and eclectic shops fill historical buildings built in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Locals and visitors can be found year round on Sixth Street, and special events like South by Southwest, The Republic of Texas Bikers' Rally, and Mardi Gras make these seven blocks the place to be when in Austin.

The Driskill

The Driskill Hotel, built in 1886 as the showplace of a cattle baron, is known for historic and luxurious accommodations, including the 189 newly renovated rooms and suites.
