Morristown New Jersey's roots date back to the 1700s. The Bernards Inn

This charming 1907 inn across from the Bernardsville train station is part Edwardian manor house and part historic American country inn. It has 20 elegant guest rooms and suites that are decorated with pastoral-themed oil paintings. The Riverside Victorian

This circa-1882 Victorian bed and breakfast is a block from the shops and restaurants of historic Clinton. The six guest rooms are decorated with family heirlooms; one has an oak-carved queen-size bed, others feature cast-iron beds and armoires. Afternoon refreshments are served on the front porch; the full breakfast, served from 7 to 10 a.m., features pancakes, French toast and egg dishes, as well as fruit, bread, fresh juice and muffins.

Guests can relax by the fireplace in the living room and watch their favorite shows on the large-screen TV or read in the quiet sitting room across the hall. In-room amenities include free wireless Internet, TV, air-conditioning and phones in each room; all but one have private baths.
