Hotels in Hualien, Taiwan
Located on the east coast of Taiwan, Hualien offers both the spectacle of a mountainous terrain and the tranquility of the seashore. Taroko National Park, which encompasses the 19-kilometer long Taroko Gorge, is the area's number-one attraction. Activities inside the national park include hiking, camping and whitewater rafting. You may also want to ride your bike along the coastline and visit several regional parks and pebble beaches. The lodging options in Hualien are concentrated either in the city center or near the national park and range from luxury resorts in the $300s to a $10 berth in a hostel.
