Bus Trips to New York City From Toronto, Ontario

Bus Trips to New York City From Toronto, Ontario
Taking a bus instead of a plane to Toronto from New York City means spending far more time on your journey. For that investment, however, you could travel for as little as $1 and can savor the lush terrain of upstate New York. Riding the bus offers more flexibility than the train because the train leaves only once a day, early in the morning. For the best prices, book tickets months in advance.

NeOn Bus

The NeOn Bus leaves for Toronto twice daily. It offers free Wi-Fi and plugs for your laptop and gadgets. Plus, the NeOn Bus has one less row of seats for extra leg room for everyone. There are few $1 tickets available per bus; but with advance planning, tickets will likely be at least half off the usual prices on Greyhound or Trailways.

Megabus

The Megabus leaves New York City four times a day. It was the first bus line to offer deep-discounted tickets in the Northeast. Ticket prices are competitive with NeOn. Megabus does not guarantee that free Wi-Fi will be available on all buses and does not offer a refund if it is not.

Trailways

If you need flexibility for your trip, Trailways offers 10 daily departures between New York City and Toronto. Advanced booking can provide tickets for a bit more than one third off the regular price. As with any bus ticket you purchase, make sure you arrive at the terminal early. Seating may not be guaranteed.
