New River Gorge Preserve is a planned community that stretches along the New River near Fayetteville. The rentals here provide seclusion and access to many biking, boating and other sporting activities. Rock climbing opportunities are also nearby. Bird watching is a favorite activity. Over 150 species have been spotted in the preserve. There are several three bedroom rentals that feature stone fireplaces, kitchens, breakfast nooks, covered porches and outdoor hot tubs.
