Lafayette, Indiana Indian Restaurants

Lafayette, Indiana Indian Restaurants
The college towns of Lafayette and West Lafayette, Indiana, home to Purdue University, would seem to be a good location for Indian restaurants. This cuisine is often filling and inexpensive, two things dear to the hearts of hungry students. Service may not always be at the level of other restaurants, but the food is plentiful, flavorful and goes great with beer.

Recommended in West Lafayette

Donu Araparu, professor of mathematics at Purdue, recommends Khana Khazana Indian Grill. "I think Khana Khazana is reasonable," Araparu said. "We often go there for dinner after our seminar."

Khana Khazana Indian Grill is located near the intersection of Northwestern Avenue and Hillcrest Drive.

Bombay Indian Restaurant is popular on the other side of town, in Lafayette. The chef is reported to hail from Delhi, and the restaurant serves authentic Indian food. One patron says that Bombay is a "nice place to eat authentic Indian food. Staff is really friendly, usually quick service. Moderate price. Very good ambiance."

However, opinions differ, and Araparu's wife, Mona Oommen, does not recommend Bombay, despite its popularity.
