Magnificent Mile Restaurants in Chicago, Illinois

Magnificent Mile Restaurants in Chicago, Illinois
Chicago's Magnificent Mile refers to North Michigan Avenue from the Chicago River on the south end to Oak Street on the north end. It hosts retail stores, restaurants, cafes and parades. The Magnificent Mile is decorated with flowers and lights. Street performers entertain tourists from all over. When you're tired of shopping, pop into one of these highly recommended restaurants to rest your feet and enjoy the tastes.

Cafe Spiaggia

Cafe Spiaggia is located in the Bloomingdale's building at the north end of the Magnificent Mile. The food is great, but the ambiance is also a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Michigan Avenue shopping. Cafe Spiaggia looks like an old Italian street side cafe with reproductions of old Italian murals, small tables and smartly-checkered floors. Order Italian classics such as tiramisu, handmade pasta and unusual Italian dishes such as roast boar.

There is a full bar and classic fine-dining fair such as steak, fish and pasta entrees. There is no charge to take the elevators to the Signature Room.

Bistro 110

Bistro 110 is at the corners of Michigan Avenue and Chicago Avenue. It's a popular dining destination for locals and tourists alike. Located near Chicago's original Water Tower (turned Art Gallery) and horse-and-buggy waiting area, this is a good choice for wine or cocktails. It offers French cuisine with an American accent. Although Bistro 110 is a good choice wine and dinner, you might also try it for brunch on Sunday when the restaurant features live jazz music.
