Also close to the park is the the Best Western Robert Treat Hotel. Originally built in 1916 to welcome President Woodrow Wilson and his wife to Newark, it's registered as a local landmark. Located in the entertainment district, it lies directly across the street from the NJPAC. Shuttles are available to the Newark Liberty, La Guardia, and JFK airports, as well as the Newark-Penn Station train station. The restaurant Maize, on the hotel's ground floor, was used as a filming location in HBO's "The Sopranos".
