A full menu of American cuisine is served until 10 p.m. from Sunday through Thursday, and until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. An abbreviated bar menu is served until close. Outdoor seating is available at the downtown eatery.

City Steam Brewery Café

With a microbrewery on site, and live comedy weekend nights, City Steam Brewery Café is popular with locals and tourists. The American menu is diverse, with steaks, burgers, ribs, seafood, and omelets served all day. City Steam has been voted Best Brew Pub in local publications' reader polls in 2008 and 2009. The Brewery Café operates out of a 9-story historic downtown building known for its Romanesque architecture. City Steam opens at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and at 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Conveniently located on Main Street, Dish Bar and Grill is just blocks from the Hartford Civic Center, Wadsworth Atheneum, and the Hartford Stage. Dish Bar and Grill serves up Contemporary American cuisine to locals and visitors alike in a modern-industrial space in an historic Hartford landmark building. The lunch menu is available Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., with the dinner menu available Sunday 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Monday through Saturday from 5 p.m.
