Puerto Nuevo used to be an unknown village in Baja, California, Mexico until the arrival of the Plascencia family in 1952 from Jalisco, which transformed the place into the "Lobster Capital of Baja." There are many activities you can do in Puerto Nuevo. You can go sailing, sport fishing, whale watching, scuba diving and snorkeling along the many beaches. Hiking, cycling and jogging are also popular activities in the area.

Hotel Buena Vista Resort is located along the blue waters of the Sea of Cortez. It is known as the "Jewel of East Cape" in Mexico's Baja Peninsula. The hotel is surrounded by palm trees, exotic flowers and natural hot springs. If by chance, you visit the resort during cooler months, then it is best to take tours such as the El Chorro Hike and Swim Tour, Miraflores River Picnic Tour, Buena Vista Sunset Pontoon Boat Tour, ATV Mountain Tour and Cabo Pulmo Marine Park Tour and Lunch. The hotel offers various facilities such as a pool and swim-up bar, natural hot springs and Jacuzzi as well as spectacular and safe swimming beaches.

The hotel arranges bookings for all tours at the reservation desk except for ATV tours, which should be done in person or by phone in your hotel room.

Grand Baja Resort

The famous lobster village is just a block away from this resort. Among the many activities the resort has to offer are whale watching, bicycling along the Pacific coast, wine country tour, a two-hour Rosarito tour and a visit to the Mexican lobster village. Holiday rates may vary and may require a minimum stay. All rates are exclusive of 12 percent tax. Check-in time is 3 p.m.; check-out time is 11 a.m.

Playa Garrafon de Castilla

The hotel is located at Isla Mujeres. Some of the things you can do here are snorkeling and scuba diving at the Garrafon Natural Reef Park, fishing, dolphin watching, a trip to Casa Mundaca, Turtle Farm and the Isla Contoy bird sanctuary.
