Wisconsin Dells Ski Resorts
Wisconsin Dells is a small region in south-central Wisconsin. Wisconsin Dells (or more commonly known as "The Dells") is a popular tourist destination, attracting more than 5 million visitors a year to various recreational and sporting activities. While perhaps most famous as being the waterpark capital of the world with 21 waterparks in the area, Wisconsin Dells also has several ski resorts.

Cascade Mountain Resort

The Cascade Mountain Ski, Snowboard and Snow Tube Resort is located in the center of the Wisconsin Dells and about 30 minutes by car from Madison, Wisconsin. The resort is family-friendly; kids younger than 12 ski free of charge. Adult lift tickets start at $44 per day. The resort offers more than 30 runs ranging from easy to advanced difficulty ratings. The resort offers skiing and snowboarding lessons, equipment rentals and a ski shop.

Devil's Head Resort

Devil's Head Resort is located near one of the highest mountains in Wisconsin--one of the many reasons skiers and snowboarders are attracted to Devil's Head. The resort has 30 runs, a 500-foot vertical rise and groomed slopes. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, the resort offers lodging, a convention center and other indoor activities such as swimming, sauna and a fitness room.

Tyrol Basin Ski and Snowboard Area

Tyrol Basin is a family-owned ski and snowboard area offering two snow parks, a 1,000-foot mogul run and race events for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and skill levels. Tyrol Basin also offers ski and snowboarding lessons and equipment rentals. Located in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin, it's just a 20 minute drive from Madison.
