The North End of Boston is on a small peninsula jutting out into Boston Harbor and directly across the water from Logan Airport. Boston Harbor is a popular place for sailing, motor boating, kayaking and canoeing. The Boston Waterboat Marina can accommodate boats from 30 feet to 150 feet long. The North End is famous for its Italian restaurants, although that is not the only cuisine. You will find a wide variety of cuisines for boaters who want to dock and have a special evening out.

Al Dente Ristorante

Al Dente Ristorante is an old-fashioned, comfortable, casual and family-friendly Italian restaurant with a special children's menu. The restaurant is close to the Freedom Trail, which takes you past Boston's historical sites. The dinner menu features shrimp with penne and broccoli, swordfish, chicken Milanese, veal saltimbocca, Sea bass al dente and seafood risotto. Prices in 2009 range from about $12.95 to $25.95.

The Living Room is a traditional American-style restaurant that is modern and casual. Neptune Oyster is a traditional oyster bar but it has a regular menu as well. The restaurant uses local seafood whenever possible and 90 percent of the ingredients are organic. The menu features pan seared red snapper, North End cioppino, roasted Scottish salmon, Dayboat Diver Scallops and Maine lobster and an 18 oz. rib eye. Prices in 2009 range from about $24 to $35.

Sensing is a modern French restaurant featuring nouvelle cuisine. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu features meunière crusted Lemon Sole, seared scallops, cranberry and rye risotto, cod steamed in lemongrass, pan-fried lobster, crispy chicken breast, veal cheek braised in sassafras, New England Family Farms top sirloin and roasted venison loin. Grezzo

Grezzo is a small, 28-seat vegetarian/vegan restaurant with modern design and decor. All ingredients are organic whenever possible.
