Restaurants Near Montage, Pennsylvania
Visitors to the Snö Mountain Ski Resort, formerly known as Montage Mountain Ski Resort, in Scranton, Pennsylvania have several dining options to choose from. Commerce in and around the resort has expanded quite a bit over the past decade, namely in the form of a large multiplex movie theater and an expansive shopping center, drawing crowds in record numbers. With resort visitors in mind, some noteworthy area restaurants are listed here.

Trattoria Bella

Diners who enjoy Italian cuisine and beautiful scenery can find both at Trattoria Bella, a 130-seat restaurant and bar that boasts "innovative Italian cuisine" and overlooks PNC Field, home of the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Yankees AAA baseball club, and it's surrounding mountain view (which even includes a fireworks display on Friday nights). In warmer weather, guests can dine on the outdoor terrace.

Among the entree selections are favorites such as gnocchi, penne alla vodka, veal marsala, and filet mignon, along with more modern dishes like the blackened crusted ahi tuna. The average cost of an entree is $20.00. The full bar features a fairly comprehensive wine list.

Trattoria Bella is located 2.5 miles west of Snö Mountain in the borough of Moosic, and serves dinner Monday through Saturday plus lunch on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Trattoria Bella is closed on Sunday. Reservations are recommended. Take-out, catering services, and room rental for private parties are also available.

Coopers Seafood House

One of the most popular spots in the northeast Pennsylvania region, Cooper's Seafood House in Scranton is an ideal option for the surf and turf crowd. Established in 1948, the sprawling restaurant and bar houses an interior that is partially a recreation of a pirate ship. The decor alone makes it an ideal family destination, but the cuisine also happens to be locally renowned. Some menu highlights include the lobster tails, crab and shrimp-stuffed flounder, Maryland crab bisque, the Beef and Reef Saute (steak and lobster) and the Coral Reef Linguine (scallops, shrimp and clams with pasta). Many entrees are accompanied by a salad and/or side, and the average price of an entree is $22.00. The full bar features "specialty" draft beers and over 400 bottled beers, as well as wine and liquor, including mixed drink specials.

Coopers Seafood House is located seven miles north of Snö Mountain in the city of Scranton. Coopers serves lunch and dinner 7 days a week. The bar is open until 12:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday and Sunday, and closes at 2:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Carmen's Restaurant and Wine Bar

Carmen's Restaurant and Wine Bar at Scranton's Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel offers fine dining and an extensive wine list in an expansive space on the hotel's first floor. Refined meat and fish dishes make up the bulk of Carmen's dinner menu, among them the 14 oz. Karabuto pork chop, the herbed rack of lamb, and the Tandoori seared halibut. The average price of an entree is $26. If you're just heading to the wine bar, Carmen's bar offers a small plates menu for bar patrons looking for a light bite to complement their Merlots and martinis.

Carmen's is located five miles north of Snö Mountain in downtown Scranton. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday, breakfast and dinner on Saturday, and brunch and dinner on Sunday. Reservations are required. Wedding packages are also available.
