Jacksonville Zoo

The zoo in Jacksonville has over 1,000 creatures. It covers over 70 acres and lies along the St. Johns River. You can walk through botanical gardens and experience a walking safari. Stingray Bay gives everyone the chance to feed and pet some favorite sea creatures. There is also a carousel filled with wild creatures to ride. This zoo has enough activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville is home to the Jaguars of the National Football League. They play at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium, which opened in August of 1995 and seats 73,000 fans. In 2005, the stadium hosted the XXXIX Super Bowl and it also hosts the Gator Bowl and the yearly Southeastern Conference game between Florida and Georgia. If football isn't your thing, there are other events held at the stadium throughout the year.

The Landing
