Restaurants in Santa Teresa, New Mexico
Santa Teresa is a small, sleepy New Mexican community located approximately 3 miles west of I-10, and 13 miles north of El Paso, Texas. Surrounding by scenic desert beauty, with plenty of natural attractions in nearby El Paso, the town boasts five restaurants, ranging from an excellent steakhouse to a typical TexMex deli, and amazing authentic Mexican fare.

Billy Crews

Billy Crews may not look like much more than a square adobe building, but inside you can order some of the best steaks in the southwest at a modest price. Choose your steak from those atop the butcher block, on display. The wine list is phenomenal, with over 100 pages of wine available, including local vintners. There's live music every other week, Wednesday through Saturday, as of November 2009. Established around 1956, it's a restaurant worth going out of your way to enjoy.

Chili & Spice

Chili & Spice serves the usual TexMex menu, with quick deli items as well. It has in-house seating and fills in when you don't feel like typical fast food. The various offerings in this unassuming eatery go a long way towards filling the void when craving some spicy Mexican food.

Cafe Mayapan

If great Mexican food is on your mind, try the Cafe Mayapan. Situated about 15 miles southeast of Santa Teresa, in El Paso, this restaurant offers exceptional tastes. An added bonus for the socially conscious is that Cafe Mayapan is a non-profit organization that provides job training programs. The chili is not overly hot and the soups are truly unique.
